The customer’s requirements for log burner installation
The customer wanted a multifuel stove installing, the chimney breast had been closed up prior to the customer purchasing the home so this required a full rip out and exposure of the fireplace opening and preparation for the stove installation.
Project Description
After CES discovered that there had been a gas appliance installed in the past there was a lot of bricks to remove to fully expose the fire place opening. Once the opening was exposed a camera inspection and thorough chimney sweep was carried out in preparation for the chimney liner installation. The fireplace opening was then boarded with A1 rated fire boards and a lintel was installed to strengthen the chimney breast. The chimney liner installed was a 904/904 Schiedel Technoflex stainless steel liner which comes with a lifetime guarantee, the multi fuel stove used was an Ecosy+ Hampton 5 with a heat output upto 5KW for this log burner installation.
